Shanti Niwas Old Age Home
When I go to gather news as part of my 25 years in media, I see the elderly people being ignored in different places. Knowing the life stories of the homeless, abused and hungry people, made me want to do something for them.
In 2008, I started "Shanti Niwas Old Age Home" at the request of various people. I started trying to give a new life to the people who were forced to separated from their families and relatives at the end of their lives. The desire was to provide shelter, treatment and support to the homeless and abused people.
I have succeeded accordingly. I have been serving them with my own hands for 18 years. I started rescuing many people in a sad situation and provided them with shelter and support. This is how the days passed. Many old aged parents became neglected in the educated society.
I have been arranging it for the last 18 years. I have recovered almost 1034 old aged people and took initiative to provide shelter. Among these recovered old people almost 893 were returned back to families through counseling. There are still 37 elderly people living in peace in the Shanti Niwas old age home.
